BURNABY, B.C. — MLA Anne Kang celebrated the official opening of the Metrotown Transit Childcare Facility, integrating affordable childcare directly into major commuter infrastructure.
Affordable Care for Working Parents
The centre participates in the $10-a-day childcare program, saving local families thousands of dollars annually.
"Locating quality childcare steps from SkyTrain makes daily life significantly easier for working parents," Kang said in Burnaby.
Sustainable Building Design
The facility incorporates geothermal heating and an outdoor natural rooftop play area.
