EDMONTON, Alta. — Premier Danielle Smith and Health Minister Adriana LaGrange reported on the transition of Alberta Health Services into four specialized operational sectors, emphasizing streamlined decision-making for local hospitals.
The restructuring is designed to reduce bureaucratic delays, improve emergency room triage times, and expand rural physician recruitment.
"Our focus is ensuring Albertans can access doctors and surgeries quickly, regardless of where they live," Premier Smith stated.
The Alberta Medical Association continues discussions with provincial administrators regarding clinical billing agreements and facility staffing.
