Federal government partners with Université Laval and CHU de Québec to construct advanced genomics research labs.
QUEBEC CITY, Que. — Minister Jean-Yves Duclos announced a $50 million federal investment supporting biomedical research and clinical trial capacity at the CHU de Québec-Université Laval.
The funding equips specialized cellular therapy laboratories and supports recruitment of international clinical researchers in oncology and infectious diseases.
"Investing in our research institutions ensures Canadians have early access to life-saving medical discoveries," Duclos said.
The research facility will generate over 300 highly skilled scientific jobs across the Capitale-Nationale region.
