CHICAGO, Ill. — Mayor Brandon Johnson announced a major community development funding package designed to support local entrepreneurs, grocery stores, and commercial revitalization across Chicago neighborhoods.
Equitable Neighborhood Investment
The initiative offers non-dilutive capital grants to local small businesses, helping storefront owners renovate commercial properties and hire neighborhood youth.
"We are investing directly in the heart and soul of Chicago — our neighborhood business corridors," Mayor Johnson said during an address in Bronzeville.
Technical Support
City-supported business centers will provide free legal, accounting, and digital marketing consulting for grant recipients.
