LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Mayor Karen Bass announced the expansion of the Inside Safe program, detailing citywide operations that have successfully resolved major encampments in Hollywood, Downtown, and South LA.
Moving Angelenos Indoors
The initiative pairs immediate motel and interim housing placements with dedicated mental health case managers and addiction support services.
"We are treating homelessness as the life-and-death emergency that it is," Mayor Bass stated at City Hall. "By bringing people indoors permanently, we restore safety and dignity to our neighborhoods."
Permanent Supportive Housing
The city approved financing for five newly renovated apartment communities dedicated to veteran and senior housing.
