TORONTO, Ont. — Mayor Olivia Chow confirmed that Toronto has finalized a tripartite funding agreement to purchase 55 modern subway train sets for Line 2 Bloor-Danforth.
"Our riders deserve clean, reliable, modern trains that arrive on time," Chow said at Greenwood Yard.
The procurement contract prioritizes domestic manufacturing assembly in Thunder Bay, supporting hundreds of skilled industrial jobs.
