The provincial government updates post-secondary funding guidelines to support college and university operational sustainability.
TORONTO, Ont. — Minister of Colleges and Universities alongside Premier Doug Ford announced updated financial regulations allowing post-secondary institutions to implement capped tuition adjustments of up to two percent for domestic students starting in the fall.
The policy replaces a multi-year freeze while introducing targeted student loan protections and grant allocations for high-demand skilled trades.
"Our priority is ensuring Ontario colleges and universities have the resources to train the next generation of healthcare workers and engineers," Ford said.
OSAP funding thresholds were simultaneously adjusted to shield lower-income applicants from cost increases.
