Nova Scotia commits $85M to expand regional hospital emergency wards and modern ambulatory surgical theatres.
SYDNEY, N.S. — Premier Tim Houston announced major infrastructure investments in Cape Breton healthcare facilities today, authorizing construction on modernized emergency and cardiac care suites at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
The expansion includes cutting-edge diagnostic imaging suites and specialized surgical wings to reduce wait times across eastern Nova Scotia.
"We are transforming our healthcare system with modern facilities that empower our doctors and nurses to provide world-class care," Premier Houston said.
Site preparation is underway, with the first specialized surgical suites scheduled for clinical opening next spring.
