TORONTO, Ont. — Mayor Olivia Chow unveiled a $12 million civic investment targeting youth training, career apprenticeships, and community arts programs across Scarborough, North York, and Etobicoke.
Empowering Young Workers
The initiative will connect over 3,000 young Torontonians with paid internships in green technology, municipal infrastructure, and creative industries.
"When we invest in our young people, we build a stronger, more resilient city for generations to come," Mayor Chow said during the launch event in Scarborough.
Community Partnerships
Local non-profits and trade unions will co-lead training workshops starting this September.
