Vice President JD Vance Touts Advanced Steel Manufacturing and Industrial Energy Policies in Ohio

CINCINNATI, OH — Vice President JD Vance completed an industrial economy tour across southwestern Ohio on Friday, visiting advanced manufacturing plants and meeting with local metalworkers to promote federal industrial reshoring legislation.

Industrial Policy and Defense Procurement

Speaking at a specialty metallurgical facility, Vance highlighted executive policies designed to mandate domestic steel procurement across all federally funded highway, bridge, and naval shipbuilding projects.

"The strength of the American economy rests on American manufacturing, American energy, and American workers," Vance stated. "We will ensure that our industrial heartland has the capital investment and tariff protections needed to out-compete foreign subsidized producers."

Following the industrial plant address, Vance met with local civic leaders and small business owners in Cincinnati's Price Hill neighborhood, discussing workforce training programs and regional vocational apprenticeships supported through federal grants.
