BALTIMORE, Md. — Governor Wes Moore visited the Port of Baltimore to announce the Maryland Clean Energy Workforce Accelerator, linking residents from historically underrepresented neighborhoods with union apprenticeship programs.
Leaving No One Behind
The initiative provides paid stipends, tool allowances, and credentials for industrial solar, wind turbine assembly, and commercial electrical installation.
"We are building a competitive, equitable economy where no one is left behind," Governor Moore said.
Union Partnerships
IBEW and building trades councils will coordinate on-the-job apprenticeship placement across Maryland.
