Salvatore is not a career politician. He is a neighbour who has spent decades serving this community. For 25 years he drove a HandyDART van so people with disabilities could get to appointments, work, and family. He helped found the Kitsilano Showers Program, giving homeless neighbours a hot shower, breakfast, clean clothes, and dignity every Saturday for more than 20 years. In 2011 he helped lead the Fight HST campaign—the first time British Columbians used a citizen vote to repeal a law and put money back in families’ pockets. He also spent 20 years building a small business that supported local artists and shops. Now Salvatore is running with OneBC in Vancouver–South Granville to be the people’s voice: lower costs, real help for those who need it, and prosperity for all—not just those already in power.
