Edmonton Police Detain Suspect Following Serious Stabbing Incident at Nanaksar Gurdwara

EDMONTON, AB — Edmonton Police Service detectives are investigating a violent incident at the Nanaksar Gurdwara on the city's north side Friday afternoon that left two men injured and one individual in custody.

Incident Details and Emergency Response

Officers responded to emergency calls at approximately 4:45 p.m. reporting an altercation within the temple facility grounds. Emergency medical services treated two adult victims on scene before transporting them to hospital in stable condition with non-life-threatening puncture wounds.

Police quickly apprehended a suspect without further incident. Investigators stated that the altercation appeared to stem from an isolated personal dispute and that there is no ongoing threat to public safety or community congregants.
