NEW YORK, N.Y. — U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez announced $110 million in federal infrastructure funding awarded to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) to flood-proof critical electrical substations across NY-14.
Climate Resilience for Working Communities
The funding installs high-capacity stormwater pumps and elevated generator platforms along low-lying subway corridors in Corona, Jackson Heights, and the South Bronx.
