Infrastructure Ontario issues request for qualifications for major bridge and tunneling contracts across Halton and Peel.
VAUGHAN, Ont. — Premier Doug Ford announced the launch of the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the construction of Highway 413, connecting Highway 400 to the 401/407 interchange.
The 52-kilometre corridor is engineered with dedicated truck bypass lanes and reserved right-of-way for future electric bus rapid transit.
"Highway 413 will save drivers up to 30 minutes each way, keeping commercial goods moving and getting workers home to their families faster," Ford said.
Over 20 wildlife overpasses and specialized fish-passage culverts are included in the final engineering specifications.
